The Chatburn Curriculum
Class 1 & 2 work on a 2-year cycle, Class 3 & 4 have a 3-year cycle. Class 5 is 1 year.
These cycles ensure that in our mixed-age classes, all children get their full National Curriculum entitlement.
No children miss any topic or repeat any learning. Our Chatburn Curriculum is designed to be ambitious and inclusive for all, which reflects our Christian vision that all our children should flourish.
SPIRITUALITY CROSS OUR CURRICULUM
Spirituality is a core component to ‘living life in all its fullness’ as the mind, body and soul needs to be nurtured equally. It relates to fundamental questions about the meaning and purpose of life which affect everyone. It is an awareness that there is something more to life than meets the eye; something more than material things; something to wonder at; something to respond to.......
